What is wrong with these people? Is Toyota so full of themselves that they deliberately train their salespeople in the art of rip-offs?

I really wanted a Toyota. I had owned one for many years. It finally died. I gave every dealer in the tri-state area a chance to act like a human being. Apparently, not one of them has a decent bone in their body.

I waited for this one dealer to get a car for a long time. I lost my job due to lousy economic conditions. However, in order to find another job, I needed a reliable car. So, I thought why not try a local dealer who I thought had some form of integrity.

Wow, was I wrong! I informed them I found a job and wished to pursue the purchase. They said the 2008 models are done and now they only have 2009s.

Ok, what the heck. Then, comes the bombshell. Like every other greedy dealership, which seemingly extends to multiple Toyota dealerships across the USA, they jacked the price up $2,000 (in Oct.) from the amount we had agreed to last month (Sep.).

I didn't understand why they would want to be so cruel during such awful economic times all over the world. I kept in contact with them all along advising them of my status.

Oil drops below $80 per barrel, the stock market plummets another 125 points, and I can't comprehend what is driving the cost (sales price) up so much. The invoice price didn't go up that much, and neither did the MSRP.

I figured it out quite simply. It's nothing but pure greed. Honda isn't doing it in my area. Neither are some of the other "imports."

Why does Toyota have to do it? If they can't act civilized, then they need to be put out of business. The led me along all the way. Now they want to change the rules.

No, I won't buy a car from them. That's not the point. I needed a car, and I waited for them to get it. Now I have to start all over with another make, model and dealership.

The least they could do was bother to advise me they intended to rip me off when I needed the car the most. Perhaps that was their whole point and intention. How pathetic.

I used to be a loyal Toyota customer, but screw them. Why buy a car from a company that doesn't bother to train their salespeople about honesty and sincerity matters and the customer's financial stability is important?

Don't buy a Toyota from dealerships like this. We only play right into their game.

PURCHASING A TOYOTA!!! Stay AWAY from Toyota products because there are so many complaints at the consumeraffairs website!! Simply 'Google' this- ENGINE SLUDGE, and go to that site and read ALL of the TOYOTA complaints!! Especially the ones after you click on 'Airbags'. PEOPLE'S LIVES COULD BE IN DANGER!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, I wrote a Christmas song about all the SLUDGING ENGINES last year! You can probably 'Google' the first few lines and it'll take you to that Toyota Ripoff Report.

Here they are: Please sing to the tune of- 'The First Noel'.

The first engine sludge
Watanabe did say
We must keep this real quiet
Or I'll lose all my pay.

All my pay will go away
If this ever gets out
Don't let customers scream
Tell them to never shout.

Engine sludge, engine sludge
Engine sludge, ENGINE SLUDGE
Pay off the Lawyers and pay off the Judge!

End.

I'm Karl, and I approve this 'Update', and those new lyrics to the tune of- 'The First Noel'.

P.S. I'm going to 'Google' the first few lines of that song now and see if the POWER of 'Google' will take me there!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
