I rented a car for three days through priceline.com bidding online on their site, and first of all, the bidding is rigged. Next, they make you agree to paying in advance as soon as the bid is accepted. I ended paying $133 for two days with a low daily rate but huge fees were tacked on causing the increase in total paid. Next, my flight was cancelled to Philadelphia and they did not have the size car I needed, so I cancelled the Hertz rental and called priceline for refund after Hertz said they could not refund. Priceline said I called an hour too late to get a refund, so I was out $133 dollars. At every step of the way, they contradicted each other and count on customer frustration and giving up to keep your money with no guarantees about delivery of what is promised. Talk about
