Hertz Rent A Car Over worked former loyal employee treated unfairly RIPOFF Salt Lake City Utah
I worked for Hertz Rent A Car from 1994 to 1996 as a vehicle service attendant(VSA)... By the summer of 95 i had risen high on senority and was rated #1 in productivity amongst 24 employees in our department and had been promoted to a leadership position.
i was a hard working employee with excellent attendance never missing a day of work.
The swing shift i was on, processed 200-500 vehicles a night and we were constantly being subjected to mass amounts of overtime especially when people didnt show up for work! a normal work week for me consisted of 70-80 hrs
In this line of work you are exposed to repetitive tasks, frequently and expeditiously and as a result accidents occured on a regular basis.
On a fateful, stressful weekend night i was short 3 people on my crew and had an accident that caused some major body damage to a vehicle.. having previously had 2 minor infractions already on my file from back when i was a new employee, i paniced and tried to cover it up in fear i would loose my job due to thier 3 strikes policy.
Next day later i was pulled into the city managers office and fired without any due process. it seemed as though all my high performing acheivements in the company had went unoticed.
I felt betrayed.
If your n Vehicle Service Attendant for this company i suggests you form a labor union in order to have any hopes of job security!
