Hertz WACO Airport DO NOT EXPECT HELP FROM THE PEOPLE THAT WORK HERE!!! Waco Texas
We pre-paid for our rental on Expedia.com. We get to the Hertz counter in Waco. The lady tells me - they do not "show" where I paid for the car and that I will have to give them a $200 deposit. WTF? I show them my receipt that I had the forsight to bring with me - NOT good enough - so - their solution? Call expedia and ask them to transfer my rental to one of the other counters in the airport. REALLY? I felt like I was being discriminated against. I'm half asian - and it's obvious I'm not white. They knew we were stranded in this Airport without the rental car - they DID NOT CARE! An expedia agent even called them to let them know that we had already paid for the rental - guess what - still not good enough! I find out as I'm doing research - that they aren't supposed to take an EXTRA $200 on top of what I paid - it's supposed to be $200 period. We didn't have the extra $200 - times are tough - we had to save to go on this trip for a family member's wedding. Our rental cost $102 - they were only supposed to ask for a $98 deposit. That we could have managed. But I refused to let them rip me off. I ended up cancelling the rental with them. The most horrible customer servie I have ever encountered and BTW - I did contact Hertz customer service as well as their CEO - you think I got a response from them? They don't care!!
