As the warranty neared it's ebd the calls came in almost daily from HP technical service asking if they fixed the non-operative Lightscribe disc in my Pavillion a1412n. Each time I tell them no, they did not fix it, each time they tell me they will call me back to get it fixed. The only call they make to me is to fish for an "I love HP comment". Hopefully, they have stopped beating that long dead horse.

Once before a technician found the solution to the non recognized disc. Many times a technician and I went through hours of proceduresand once a fix was found and I was happy. However since the machine and drive are shoddy from the beginning it became unrecongized ("No lightscribe device found"). So I called and aske that only the fix procedure be repeated and the procedure sent to me so that I could get use out of the Lightscribe junk that I paid for. Time and time again I was taken through the long, time wasting procedure and the fix was never repeated.

As the warranty period came to a close they started calling me to see if the problem was fixed. When I told them no, and said I didn't have hours and days to repeat the whole useless process again, I just needed the fix they either promised to call back or just hung up.
Now the warranty period has passed and I am on my way to have a T Shirt made that say's HP Tech Support...Sucks. HP Warranty Gives NO SERVICE.

Please Please Please do not by a new HP Product thinking that id you have a problem the warranty will protect you. Do your homework and read the comments from hard working, honest consumers such as myself.
Don't get ripped off by HP, Please.
