I have had an ongoing problem with trying to switch servers on the internet. I have been trying, with no luck, to contact Hewlitt Packard about helping me with an error 630 that keeps popping up whenever I try to switch to another server.

I was told to get hold of tech support, yeah right, try to get ahold of anybody that will help you. All I want to do is to go to another server, and I don't think asking what kind of hardware I need is asking too much, especially if I have to pay for it. At one time, I was told, that to talk to a tech support, I would have to pay so many dollars a minute??/ What is that? I don't want to waste money on a deal that promises nothing. Is there any help for me out there?

#2Consumer Suggestion

Tue, September 21, 2004

Bonita, there are millions of knowledgable users on the internet. Possibly, one of them may be able to help you. But, first, you need to provide a complete explanation of your problem.

Switching servers? On the internet? On a local network? At your job? Or, do you have a web site that you are trying to upload new files to?

Tell us exactly what you are trying to do. What software are you using? Which program? Is this a FTP problem? Are you using server software?

Without more info, nobody will be able to make a suggestion. It's like me asking you how high is up?

By the way, does your HP work like it should? Yes? Because you are blaming them for this problem. Did they actually sell you a defective unit, or do you simply fail to understand how to use it?

I can understand your frustration, but saying that HP ripped you off is not likely to do anything positive to solve it, is it? I think you need help with using your computer. It sound like the computer itself is fine.

Update with more details, then check back to see if anyone has a solution. Good luck!
