Hewlitt Packard Rebate ripoff you can forget about rebates Internet
About a year ago I bought my first computer, all went pretty well except for how pushy the sales guy was. But he is commision I am sure so they are all that way. I paid around $740.00 dollars with the promise of $100.00 mail in rebate. After receiving my pc I went to take off the proof of purchase and it was stuck to the outside of one box and was shredded in the removal process. The other had been scratched off in shipping almost completly. I have been battling with them ever since, with no proof of purchase they cant prove you bought it, as if all my information including my credit card number isnt stored in their computer. I have since given up but i thought i would warn anyone about them, I wont ever buy from them again.
