Complaint Review: HFC Beneficial

Back in April of 1990, I purchased a 56X24 doublewide trailer for $30,000. Gave $10,000 down. My payments were with Security Pacific Housing. Couple of years later ,received letter stating payments be given to TransAmerica in my hometown of Douglas, Az. Some of my payments were taken electronically. About nine years later asked TRANSAmerica for $29,000 to pay off sister for land behind my house ,including$10,000 I borrowed from her.A letter sent to me from HFC states it was for $46,000. The check I handed my sisiter was for $29,000. Before I knew it, received letter that my payments would be sent to HFC. (Elmhurst, Illinois)October of 2011, got fed up with sending payments. Last payment I sent was in October of 2011. I was under garnishment of $300.00 for a credit card and was bringing home a $600.00 paycheck. I was receiving statements and calls from debt collectors. I have lived in this trailer 23 years paying at a percentage of 12.689%/Finance Charge of $166,751.75/Amount financed $57,600.25. The amount I will have paid after all payments made as scheduled would be $224,352.00.(359 payments). (Date of loan 04/08/99. On December 11, 2013 they want to auction my trailer in Bisbee, Az. at 2:00 p.m.. Back in 2008 I received a letter from then acting Attorney General Terry Goddard, to see if I was interested in filing a lawsuit aginst HFC.Received letter I am a school teacher and could not afford an attorney. I continued sending and having some payments taken electronically.I made a trip to Tucson, Az. to speak to Congressman Ron Barber. He was away in Washington,D.C. due to government shutdown. I was able to speak to one of his representatives. Left paperwork with her, as well as now acting Arizona's Attorney General Tom Horne. I feel that I have fallen victim to predators! Imagine a 1989 doublewide costing me $224,352.00 (359 payments)!!! Please if you google HFC FRAUD on the internet, you will see others victims as well. These people need to be held accountable for their actions!! Please anyone with any kind of advice or help!!! At risk at losing my home. GREATLY APPRECIATED. Leticia (Letty) Douglas,Az.
