HH Gregg ripoff The Big Ripoff Anderson Indiana
I purchested a 63" Toshiba tv on 4/9/05 I had a 18 month agrement for payoff without finice charges. So I receved a statement today for $783.46 extra finace charges. What can I do about this big ripoff?

Almost all of the "no payment, no interest until ..." promotions charge interest from the day you walk out of the door.
They don't collect the interest only if the loan is entirely paid off before the end of the promotion period.
So "No payment, no interest until ..." is actually false. It's either no payment OR no interest.
I'd like to see a law which changes the wording of those promotions. At the very least, it should have been disclosed on your monthly statements. When I've bought during these promos from Future Shop / Best Buy the monthly statement has shown me the promotion date as well as the interest they were going to charge me if I didn't cough up the entire amount.
