We went to the HH Gregg store to purchase speakers for a birthday gift on Oct 8, 2010.  To start with the items that we went to see that were in their advertisement were not in the store.  We were quoted a price on a set of Klipsch speakers at $319.00 which they did have in stock-4 Sets according to the salesman.

The salesman checked the computer 3 times and quoted us the price with managment's approval, he said mgmt wanted to get them out of inventory to make room for new models. Since we had originally gone to the store for a different item, we had the salesperson write the quote, model, his name & cell number down and told him we would call him later, which we did later in the day.

We called the store and left a message for the salesman that we were coming to the store to get the speakers.  When we got there he checked inventory again to make sure the speakers were still available - which they were.  We sat down to do the paper-work for the speakers. Then he said the price would be doubled the quoted price because he had made a mistake.  We told him to forget it, he went to mgmt. and offered us a lower price. He said the price was for one speaker - not the set.   He said you can't buy just one since they are shipped 2 to a box, but they are quoted at a single unit price.  The price we asked for was for a set of speakers and 3 times we were told that $319.00 was the price for the set.

We contacted management at the store and he said it was a mistake. I contacted corporate offices on Oct 15th and the lady tried to argue with me and I told her that I merely wanted to report what had happend  as I had on the email I sent which was ignored.  Management never contacted me as stated on their website.  I contacted them on Oct 22nd, and I tried to speak to someone at the corporate office, but was routed back to the same lady I had spoken with on the 15th.  End result - they don't care and this is the way they do business.
