My husband and I purchased the 55' Hitachi Plasma, at the Kennesaw hhgregg store. We were talked in to purchasing the extended warranty just in case anything would go wrong, it would be repaired or replaced. On Dec 21, 2008 the tv went black. I was trying to be kind and wait til after Christmas to place the request for service. My first call was Dec 27, 2008. I have talked to hhgregg, Normans Electronics, & GE service.

Today is January 21,2009, and still no answers no tv or help. Everyone blames the other department, "it's not my job", "we can't place a call for you". I can't believe all the excuses that "customer service" people can come up with. No one has been able to give me an answer on why the delay, why the parts haven't been ordered, or when I will have a tv again.

I will tell everyone I know, never purchase an extended warranty and never to buisness with hhgregg. Most large stores, ie, Sears will price match anyway, and they have all major brands.

Goods news, as people pass the word along about hhgregg, customers will go away, therefore no need for customer service. Normans Electronics is useless, how they ever got a contract is beyond me.
