We purchased a laptop computer from hhgregg in Alpharetta, GA in January, 2007. We also purchased a 3 yr Extended Service Plan, ESP.

In May, 2008 the computer stopped working. When I called the technical service group at 1-866-266-8593, I was given a Case Number and told I would receive a call back to have the computer serviced. Three weeks later, the group has never called me. When I call, I am told that they are still working on the service request. I have called on 12 days and have been told the same story.

Today, Tami, the supervisor, told that their computer files are corrupt and as a result they cannot process my claim. She stated that she hopes their files can be fixed so that they can process many claims, including mine. Until then, hhgregg will not honor my warranty, and she does not know when their problem will be fixed.

Mary,

As an employee of H.H. Gregg it pains me to hear of the trouble that you have had. The company that we were using for our ESP was G.E. We have recently replaced them with a different company and it has been a world of difference. I understand that this information does nothing to help you now. It is a way of telling you that H.H.Gregg cares enough to cancel the contract on a multi-billion dollar company to go with a company that will work with us. What I recommend you do is get in contact with the store and ask to speak to the vendor relations department. They will fill out the form and Vendor Relations will call you with in 24 BUSINESS hours. If they can find a solution to your problem then they will. Please do not think bad about H.H.Gregg, as they are working to help you. I do apologize for your troubles.
