I volunteered to help out Jeff Bridge, Owner of HIV Camp out Project on his first trip to NyC. I had no idea I would be stuck with his expenses of gas, tolls, food, parking in NYC. Besides that, He took with him an expensive ($100.00) logo sweater (Human Rights Campaign), which I let him wear, but told him he had to return. On top of it he asked to barrow a theft prevention metal snake to attached to his Lab Top for safety (cost me $99.00) He also took that with him. Did not return. He used up all the ink/paper on Good Sam, Printer.
I had no idea this man of 36 years, weights around 300 lbs. He could not carry bags, walk fast and needed to sleep in a king size bed. This and many things he never told me. But when he arrived at La Guardia, He said he was broke! He was warned that the Good Samaritan had stopped working and was in disability. He had to pay for the car expenses, tolls, gas, parking, incidentals. The Samaritan would let him stay one night at his home. His way of getting money was to raffle a Lab Top, which I was asked to help him sell the tickets. He said that as soon as money from the raffle tickets came through on Saturday (this was Thurs.) he would take care of me. " Not to Worry" He used a credit card for the $9.00 parking toll out of La Guardia, but that is the only thing he paid in the 3 days I helped him with everything. I used 100 miles from the trips from La Guardia to Bay ridge Brooklyn to pick up boxes he had sent. Then Staten Island, Then Brooklyn, then down town Manhattan, then the Javitt's Center. This went on for 3 days and he wanted me to continue a fourth day, but by that time I was exshausted and feeling sick from carrying his stuff in the rain and driving him around. I also found out he accidentally had given me a purse which contained $100.00 in singles. I found it while I was looking form parking in chelsea, because it's cheaper there and free if you get lucky. To tghn come back to Javit's Center by bus. I returned his $100.00 dollars. Stupid Samaritan.

HIV Campground Project - Jeff Bridge Owner, ripped off disabled volunteer

#2Author of original report

HIV Camp Out Project, Owner Jeff Bridge from Warsaw In. Rip off a disabled volunteer named on this report as Good Samaritan.

Correction: The is a type o error on the heading of the original report: It reads, HIC When it should be HIV

HIV Camp out Project owner Jeff Bridge, coming to NYC on his first trip. Decided to raffle a lab top to cover his airline trip, buss cards. But he had no intention of paying for the gas, about 100 miles traveled with him, tolls, food and one night of lodging.
When he arrived at La Guardia, he says, "I'm broke!". Someone coming to NYC on a business trip and he is broke the minute he lands. He of coarse had money. He promised he will cover the expenses when money was made, which Good Samaritan was supposed to sell, raffle tickets for the Lab Top. The money was made but Jeff Bridge never paid, besides taking items , which were expensive, but belong to Good Samaritan. He lied and he never returned items the were loaned to him. I never want to hear anything bad about a New Yorker. We are people with heart. But there comes a 36 year old, 300 lbs, still living with mom and pulls the rug over New Yorkers. What A ShAmE!
