Complete Liar. Started my job before he had the building permit. Took my start payment in November with promise to complete by 1 Jan, didn't start until next May. Ended up having to fire him and hire another Contractor to finish the job and make many corrections. Not even sure he knows what a level looks like, or how to use one. To this day still finding and correcting mistakes. Basically stole $30K from my family and we could not live in our house for over a year.
Now he is doing small jobs like bathrooms and such. Do not trust him. In six months or a year, you will have leaks, and you will end up hiring another contractor to fix everything.
i will never get my money back, that is not my hope. My hope is to protect you from him. There are many qualified contractor and carpenters out there looking for work. People that will treat your home like thier own. Use them. Avoid this guy like the plaugue.
On another note, all the laws in NY seem to be geared at protecting the contractor. the homeowner loses money and time at ever turn and everything is their fault. Another reason to go with someone who can be trusted.
