I did allot of work for Higgins and Lovett. At first it semed to be going good as it does with most companies. Then the pay checks started comming late, the lies started flowing from all there office personel.
" The checks were mailed last Tuesday"............"I know they sent the checks the other day"........."The postal service sucks and must have lost them"......."We dont control the mail man" and they just got better from there.

They still answer or return phone calls.
Emails are never answerd.

There supposed office is non excistant. "I had a friend who lives in Califronia go by the address I was given. There is no sign of a Higgins and Lovett on Clayton Rd or Janet Lane in Concord California.

This company is what one would refer to as a bait and switch.

To date I am owed approximately 10,000 dollars. Thats right TEN THOUSAND U.S Dollars.

I have started the court system rolling on this and have including all Higgins and Lovett staff. If you work for them out of state as I did doing foreclosed home service I urge you to stay away from them.

If you are one of the mortgage companies that has been giving them work you should be recieving my notice to owner docs. and liens to property docs. soon.

If you work for them in the state of California. I urge you to proceed with extream caution.

In closing its very simple Higgings and Lovett does not pay there bills.

Our company has done much work for H & L though we have just started, our first check came in on time , we have work almost every day . Office personel are helpful whenever we call or write an email. Don't have much details on this ripoff report that this company has filed against H & L but all we can hope for is that H & L and this other company can work things out for the best of both companies.

I've worked with this company for a short time. And hope to continue working for them in the future. I haven't had any problems w/ pay and there is always work. The people in the office that I deal with have been helpful and pleasant. I know that they will not pay for work that is not done correctly or not completed. Maybe the person or persons complaining about not getting paid should look at their own work habits and ask themselves if they deserve to be paid.

This post is obviously written by the same guy who sent an email to everyone he had an address for @ this company. In that email he signed it, pissed in Georgia. Now, he is pissed in Jacksonville. However, we all know he is really in Bonita Springs, Florida. Chris Evans.

When you write the same type of comments and mispell similar words - you might want to change more than the city you are in to confuse us all into thinking otherwise.

H & L - Higgins & Lovett is a quality company doing highly professional work. They have paid for my services in a timely fashion, primarily because I have completed my work the same way - & actually complete. One reason Chris may be disappointed about his relationship with H & L is that Chris did not finish jobs before he expected to be assigned new ones. In fact, I have personally been to at least 10 of Chris Evans "finished" properties. There was nothing finished about them. I am sure he is expecting to get paid for every property he changed the lock for - even though he did not do the work required to complete the initial services. Debris needs to be removed - completely - not just some of it - all of it. Cleaning means - it needs to be clean. Every room. Not just the ones you take creative pictures of. You leave behind full bags of trash, garages full of debris, and jobs unfinished left & right & yet you demand to be paid. A little backwards. Getting paid requires doing the work - in other words - completing the work order as it is stated.

Consider yourself lucky that you got paid for as many houses as you did. If you were working for me & you were asking to be paid for those houses - I would laugh in your face. At this point you need to give it some time - when the dust settles and all the unfinished jobs you left behind are completed - maybe one day they may settle up with you. That is, after they realize how much money you cost them. I have said enough. Just be grateful.

I like working with and for H & L - they are good people. I am sorry it did not work out for you Chris. It is time to move on.

I know I am ready to.

I've had no problem with H&L

I'm a contractor for H&L working in the Jacksonville area (same position and location as the person who filed the complaint) and have been since they moved into the Florida area.

I've not had problems getting paid for my work. So far I've been paid for all work in the time frame I was promised.

I can't comment on whether they have an office or nor as my company is in Florida and they are based in california. I can say that I've spoken with up to five different people at their same number on a regular basis during normal business hours, as anyone would expect an office to operate.

I can also say on this matter that I have 7 employees and no signage as my company works entirly through direct marketing so no advertisement or "storefront" is nessessary. So if they don't have a visible office, I personally wouldn't judge their reputability from that.

I hope this helps everyone form a fair opinion on the matter.
