Complaint Review: High Resolution Cams

I ordered a Sony digital camera for what was a very good price (I should have known!). They stated on their website (which miraculously doesn't exist anymore) that for my protection, they would send me an e-mail explaining how I should pay for this transaction. They sent me the following e-mail on 06/23/08:

Make payment for your order using GreenDot money transfer service. To make payment for your order you need to purchase a Green Dot MoneyPak at a retail location near you(GreenDot is available at major retailers nationwide, including WalMart, CVS Pharmacy, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Longs Drugs, Kroger, Ralphs, Meijer and more)

1. Visit a GreenDot retail location near you.

2. Purchase a GreenDot MoneyPak in the prepaid section of the store for the exact amount of your order.

Needless to say, I never received a shipping confirmation e-mail and any & all attempts to contact them have been fruitless.

This type of behavior infuriates me & I would like to meet the perpetrators face-to-face. In my opinion, people like this are the scum of the earth. I'm certainly not the first person they have ripped off. I came across this discussion on the web:
