Beware of Terry Mendez and Higher Calling Aircraft Parts. This man comes across as a Christian and a former United States Marine. He is shameful and dishonest. He hires employees, offers employee contracts has you begin working for him and does not pay you for the work you perform.

He is a disgrace to the working community and to all hard working Americans everywhere! The fact that he runs around town claiming the United States Marines is a disgrace to all who wore the uniform.

He claims to be a Christain and a man of God, yet the God he serves calls him to stand behind his word and be honest. Terry Mendez needs to stand behind his word and pay his employees that he had hired to work for him. He needs to understand you cannot use people the way he does and walk away. He is messing with peoples lively hoods. Its disgusting what he has done to over 8 employees.

Terry Mendez has no business being in business and anyone who comes in contact with him needs to walk away and don't look back. This man has no idea how to run a business or what a true professional is about. He will monopolize ALL of your time and then some. He knows NO boundaries at all.

I DO not recommend this business to anyone at all! Everyone who comes in contact with him says the same thing about him he is a lose cannon and is scattered and is not organized. You will NEVER get paid by this man. Stay Away From TERRY Mendez and Higher Calling Aircraft Parts. NO GOOD!

#4General Comment

I was shocked to read comments from supposed employees of ‘Higher Calling Aircraft Parts’ defaming the owner, Terry Mendez.  I have worked with Terry and know him to be a very conscientious person who has always had concern for the welfare of those who work for and with him.

If there are those who have questions regarding Terry’s intent to meet payroll, please be assured that Terry Mendez will meet all of his financial obligations.  Terry is a man of his word.  He has a strong belief in God and will do all within his power to rectify any misunderstandings that may have occurred through the misinterpretation of signed contracts.

Having worked closely with Terry Mendez in the past, I can assure you that Terry exhibits, in full, the U.S. Marine Corp code of honor never to cheat or steal.

To whom this may concern:

My name is Terry Mendez and I am the owner of Higher Calling Aircraft Parts, Inc. The three individuals who have posted these conplaints have teamed up to salnder, defame, and bully there way to get some sense of satisfaction. There names are Ed Van Antwerp (possing as cooper), Brenda Russell-Baca, and Tammy Shepar. Out of these three individuals Higher Calling Aircraft Parts, Inc has only hired Tammy Shepard. Higher Calling Aircraft Parts, Inc has not hired 8 people. These three individuals are trying to paint an image that i am a convict or criminal of some type, which is obsurd. I have a few testamonials that have been writtin about me from these other 6 people about my charecter, and my relationship with them. I aslo have testamonials wriitin from clients, and customers who work with me on a daily basis. Lastly i have charecter approval letters, approving what type charecter I have as an individual and as a business professional. If you would like to see them and read them, you can request to do so by emailing me at info@highercallingaircraftparts.com

As for the person that wrote this post; his name is ED, and he never worked for me or my company. He asked me to sign an IN LIEU OF A W-4 AFFIFAVIT, which non of my people kknew what it was he was trying to make me sign. My book keeper, my representitive from ADP, nor even Tammy Shepard who is now teaming up with him to ost these complaints on this Ripoffreport.com thing. The reason for this display of unprofessional behavior that his is displaying, is becase he has been trying to convince me for one month after signing his contract to attemp to work for me that he is not an employee, and he is a individual contractor. Ed's disobidients regarding signing a simple W-4 form was the reason we did not hire him. As you can see he is very upset, and to get back at me, he has stooped very low. Slandering, defaming, and bullying someone who has not hired you will not get them to pay you. However, there is a second side to every story; i had to give my side and let the reader decide what is there perception of this matter.

W-4 is a form completed by an employee to indicate his or her tax situation (exemptions, status, etc.) to the employer. The W-4 form tells the employer the correct amount of tax to withhold from an employee's paycheck.

It’s important to classify your workers correctly. These questions can help you decide whether your worker is an employee or a contractor:

Do you want the work done on company premises?

Do you want the person to work only for you?

Will you provide the tools the person needs to do the job?

Do you want to control the hours the person works?

If you mostly answered “yes,” you probably want to hire a W-2 employee, not a 1099 contractor. If you’re still not sure, watch the video on Intuit’s Guide to Hiring web site. You can also find the IRS’s guidelines on their Know Who You’re Hiring web page.
