Purchased a supposed certified 2008 Pontiac G6 sedan and found the steering has the notorious POP or bind to it as well as front drive issue.
Car was never gone through the 117 point check which even include wiper check.
Found the wipers torn on both side when I ran into rain.
Tried to return per the GM customer satisfaction rule and was not able to.
Jack Pedlar the salesman told me to instead then bring it in when HE gets back from vacation.
Wife brought to them and was told to come back same time the next day and it would be ready, with all the problems I emailed to him corrected.
She was told nothing was wrong with the car and go ahead and take it.
I contacted GM Certified rep. Kyle and he contacted Highpoint Auto in Cadillac Michigan and talked to Jack, the sales manager, and the service manager.
Sales told them I went past the 3 day 150 mile mark (70 miles I added so was in limits and was over weekend..they were not open on Sundays.)
Service manager admitted to Kyle the rep that his service department never seen this car come through it, no records.
The certified cars are not being checked by Highpoint and once you leave their lot..the return policy is gone and your stuck with a possible problem car like I am.
And General Motors (that WE bailed out) does NOT try to hard to support their customers.
So now stuck with an overpriced car with SAFETY ISSUES.
Buyers beware on certified cars and especially Highpoint Auto in Cadillac Michigan (especially Jack Pedlar)
