Recieved very believable notification of winning sweepstake, organized by Fidelity international lotto. Included check for $ 4720.00, informed, "Please do not attempt to use the check until you call". Must pay $2970.00 in taxes at western union/money gram locations in order to claim winnings of $250,000.00.
I searched phone number which was an Ontario cell phone. Also, searched for company on internet...didn't find anything. when I searched the names listed on the letter I came across the ripoff report describing the same situation with only company name changed. "Sheila Harris"
I haven't investigated the check to see if bank is real, thank goodness I was suspicious. Am considering calling number to see how hard they try to scam me!
