We hired Ridge Down Contractors to put on a new tile roof and 3 skylights.  We have had 2 leaks, which cost $1000 each after finding someone else to fix them.  We were given an 84-month warranty on parts and labor and Robbie Sanger will not return our phone calls.  He is now with Hightower Roofing in Lakeland, FL.  Plus we're seniors!  Awful, awful.  This is what gives contractors such a bad name.

Rebuttal to Sally

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Tue, September 01, 2015

RidgeDown Construction is the company that put the roof on Ms. Sally's home under a different license holder and owership than that of High Tower Roofing & Contracting, LLC.  RidgeDown Construction is no longer in business and closed Jan. 2011.  Robbie Sanger owns High Tower Roofing & Contracting, LLC under his own license and has been in business since the summer of 2012.  Robbie Sanger became a licensed roofing contractor in the summer of 2012.  There has never been a contract or proposal to Sally from High Tower Roofing & Contracting, LLC.  Unfortunately, Sally's roof was installed under a different company, with different ownership using a different license, and that license holder is not currently in the business of installing or repairing roofs.  High Tower Roofing & Contracting, LLC, however, has many, many satisfied clients and many of them being elderly.  We do a large portion of our business in Sugarmill Woods and Sarasota which homes are mostly owned by senior citizens.

All too often, especially in the construction industry and especially in the economy as it was the past few years, many companies were closed.  Sally's issue is one of the previous company that is no longer in business.  High Tower Roofing & Contracting, LLC very seldomly works in the Orlando area.  We primarily work in Polk Cty, Citrus County and down to Sarasota.

This was in no way of anyone's intention to ignore and harm anyone, especially a senior citizen.  Had RidgeDown Construction still been in business, I am sure the repair would have been taken care of in a timely manner.
