Hilda Hinge of Philly or her web designer stole a graphic designer's copywrited picture from the designers own web site and is using it on her website. This company manufactures hinges for doors. After being emailed more than once a week ago, the picture is still up. The graphic designer has designed book covers, illustrated books, designed store  fronts  for companies in Los Angeles and designs for a worldwild scented candle company.  Lawsuit? Ummmyeah.

I'm not the designer, my daughter is. She's done everything you mentioned and has contacted all the people she's supposed to. Everything is kosher so far. These people added some cartoon character to the pic also.  Even tho my daughter put it on her site it was mostly for me as I own a '56 Ford F100 like in the pic.

Lawsuit? Ummmyeah "

Assuming you are the graphic designer in question, you should know that you should start with  a properly formed DMCA notice to the site (something you didn't mention).  I'd follow it up by a DMCA notice to the ISP that hosts the site.

Jumping straight into lawsuit mode is likely to cost you more than you stand to recover.
