I visited this dealership to purchase a used Mazda 6. They wouldn't accomodate my needs, so I went to Enterprise Used Cars and purchased a 2008 Sebring. I then received a call from Hiley asking me to return, that they would indeed sell it for the price I wanted. I had a 7 day out with Enterprise, so I went, drove the car, and filled out the paperwork.

They called to say I was approved. When I returned, I'd already returned the Sebring to Enterprise and had to get a ride to several places to end up there. They had sold the car that was the basis of my application. They told me that they couldn't finance me after all since I'd bought the other car. So I was carless. I wouldn't find out until later that Hiley had not submitted me to one single program for people with a past bankruptcy. They had, however, sent my information to about 30 different sources, none of which would approve me based on the information that I VERY CLEARLY TOLD THEM multiple times.

I went back to Enterprise, but my beacon score had been lowered from the already bad 480 to 380 courtesy of Hiley Mazda and the banks hitting it some 50 times at 2 points each. The company that HAD approved me, declined to re-offer me a loan, even with $3500 down.

After a lot of work by the people at Enterprise, which I highly recommend, (Seth in Arlington is amazing), they not only got me financed at a better rate, but threw in a year of towing and rental and extended my warranty by 48,000. These inclusions dropped my car insurance from $235 mo to $94 a month, which was HUGE!!!

Bottom line: The sales team at Hiley 1) Aren't that smart 2) Bait and switched me 3) Lied 4) Murdered my credit rating. Try elsewhere. I was lucky at Enterprise, maybe, or maybe they were just normal and Hiley sucks.

Love my new Sebring. Great car. Great deal. Happy. Will NEVER recommend Hiley Mazda. Nope.

Time to cool off "Mazda Lover"

#3Consumer Comment

Ok Mazda Lover, this comment about people with bad credit will always have bad credit is way over the top. Many well off people have experienced financial ruin before finding something that works. I unfortunately ended up in the catagory of bad credit, and I am sure a there is a set of circumstances that would bring you into that catagory as well.

Like the original poster, I find myself in a situation of needing to purchase a car since the one I have is at the end of its useful life. Are my choices limited? Of course they are. In years past, I could simply go find a car, sign my name, and go. That's no longer the case and I need to be careful where I do apply. Like the OP, I cant go all over town to all the dealerships that like to promote they cater to people in my situation to help rebuild my credit only to be told No, strung along, lied too, forced to look elsewhere, and have my low FICO lowered even more in the process.

People with bad credit.....

You know it is funny that people with bad credit always feel they have been mistreated by banks or car dealers. You have not shown any responsibility for your credit situation. In other words you have screwed everyone you owe money to. I used to work at Hiley Mazda of Hurst and I know for a fact they do not even use that many banks. They only have 3 banks that they use for BAD CREDIT people like yourself. If Enterprise was so great to you then why didn't you buy the car from them in the first place? Why because they did not have you approved. What Hiley should have told you was the truth. That is that "We really do not want to give you a loan sir because we know you will never pay it back". People with bad credit never change and you will always have bad credit. So look in the mirror and blame yourself.
