This company is a scam.

You will get an email saying you applied to a job, which you probably did, and that you were selected to be interviewed but have to fill out some additional information on their website first at hillandking.com .

What threw me is that the interview part of the site seems legitimate. They ask to write out answered to questions like "Describe your ideal working environment", "What does 'success' in a career mean to you?", "What goals do you have in your career?", "What 5 adjectives best describe you?", "Have you ever worked on a successful team? What role did you have in this team?", etc.

You know, questions that look like the typical interview BS type questions, so it looks legitimate. However, after you complete that step, they ask you to click on a link to fill out a credit report. Keep in mind they already have your name and address information. Now the credit report?

This is particularly frustrating because I actually spent a decent amount of time answering their essay questions, only to find out it's a scam.

Don't be fooled. The whole point of all their essay questions is to give you a false sense of security. Never fall for a credit report gimmick on an online job application. No legitimate job will have you fill out an online credit report thing.

If you get an email from this company ignore it.
