Hill's Body & Frame, Inc tricked and lied to us about use of aftermarket parts and paint matching Stoneville North Carolina
My 1989 white camaro was damaged in an accident on feb,20,2002 and had to have the whole front end replaced the fenders the hood and the front bumper cover.
Called Mark Hill of Hills Body And frame to inquire about the use of aftermarket parts he offered to drive out to my home and look at the car.
When he arrived he said he had used aftermarkets on camaro's and never had trouble with them then I asked if he could match my paint up ok he said no problem.
So we agreed to a price and I dropped it off for repairs which he said would be done in two days. Finally after numerous calls and repeated trips to the shop I finally catch him at the shop which by the way was two weeks later.
I see the car sitting in the shop with the new fenders and hood on and he was working on the new bumper cover aplying filler still trying to fit the pieces which looked worse than hell.
Uneven clearance between the parts which he said he would work on and tighten down to get a better fit and should have it painted and ready in a couple days
Finally another week and four days he calls at closing time saying he is washing it down and I could come over and get it
When i arrived he was still spraying water on the front end but the alignment of the parts was still sub-par and had promised to reattach my maf sensor which was pulled loose from the clamp in the wreck claimed he could not find a clamp to reattach it.
So I decided to let it go and try to fix it myself I payed up got a signed reciept and left drove home once I got home and the water dried off the car I could plainly see the paint he used to repaint the front of my car was a darker white than on the rest of the car and even the neighbors freaked when they saw it roll in.
Finally monday morning I drive it back to the shop when it should be open no one is there so I go walk next door to his fathers house who originally started the business and has since turned it over to his son Mark and his mother is in the yard she says mark lives in the house next to them and he is there and she knocks and calls for him but he wont come out.
So i tell his parents to have him call me about repainting my car and have still not been able to talk with him,He knows he gave me a screwing now he dont want to even face me about it.So I have reported it to the BBB which by the way allready had a report on Hill's that was unanswered.
So I quess my next pursuit will be some estimates from some paint shops for a repaint and a trip to small claims court for my compensation.
