I bought a ring in an on-line auction. The photo of the item was re-touched and a false representation of the item I got shppied to me. The information listed with the item on-line was false as well. The value was stated to be at $560.00.

After getting the ring I was surprised at how cheap it looked compared to the photo online. I took it to a jewelry store to get an appraisal. They said it was worth at most $80.00, but I would have to pay $100 to get a written full detail appraisal. Not wanting to spend more then the ring was worth I went to other stores. I was told that it was junk by a few jewelers, They said only the metal (10k gold) was worth 29.00 - 34.00 at the current market value of gold for that day.

I complained to the seller and was told that returns were not allowed. I should have talked to a real jeweler. The responses from the seller were rude and unhelpful. I paid a good price for a peice of junk and now I am stuck with it.

Do not let them do this to you.
