Complaint Review: hippodrome @ rivergate

well abut two years ago I needed a vehicle . I went to a place called hippodrome motors. their ad says that they can finace nearly anyone. I was also involved in a bankruptcy and my choices were limited. So I went there and the salesman told me that he got me approved. And he went throgh this long list of clunker cars to sell. I was ready to leave then he told me about this truck they just got in and it was needing some minor repairs. and while they were repairing it theywould give me a loaner vehicle. which they did. and to get me approved they also told Transouth that I had left in the vehicle and that was a lie. they had also called me the nextday and told me this lie to tell transouth about my credit

Finally , a month later , I called and spoke with the sales manager. He said that the truck would be ready the next afternoon . When I got there to pick up the truck ,the motor was very loud and it clearly was not fixed! My wife had called the salesman over to the vehicle. And he said try to get home and call back if we had any problems. we did and it took us like 3 hours to get home, the truck kept over heating and so we had to stop a few times. when we had got home it was too late to call. So then next day the salesman and I had spoken over the phone and he told me that his boss will not allow him to spend over four hundred dollars .

I told him that would make the whole deal void. so he told me that he would send a tow truck to get the vehicle. meanwhile I had went to the bank and put a stop payment on the down payment check,and they didn't issue stop payments at the time, so I simply closed out the account .

now is the day they were to come and get the truck. noone came . So on monday I called them back andthe salesman said they would be there on a wednesday.so I told him that they needed to do something about this truck .and then on tuesday I went and bought a cd player for the truck. and then went to install it .....upon installing it the whole dashboard fell out .

I began to look at things and noticed the board when the speedometer was burnt not bad but it was burnt. so I followed a wire and noticed that the"service enging soon " light was where it was burnt. So I set up an appointment with an attorney. I paid what he wanted up front , and then he told me a week later to ake the truck back.....I didn't see why not it was just sitting in my driveway collecting dust!so I had taken it back and for the most part my attorney was open and honest.

When my wifee had a baby I guess he wanted to then work on things but I was with my wife and child (who was still in the hospital). decided that we didn't talk enough so he abandoned us...
