Complaint Review: Hirschback Motorlines

I like a lot of drivers want to lease a truck. Be the boss. Let me start by saying this wasn't my first lease, however this is the whorse lease.

I have ran into nothing but lies here at Hirschback. Starting from the recruter saying "Oh here we run 3000 to 3500 mi a week!" WRONG. Try 2000 to 2500 mi a week. New trucks and the freedom to do what you want? WRONG. You are a company driver making the payments and insurence for them.

As a company driver you are running 64 mph, lease ops so do you. 99 cent for fuel! great til you do the math, 1000 mi fill up 180 gal. 7 mpg at .43 cpm fuel surcharge just paid them $80.00 oh yeah lets talk a little about the apu's and fuel. You have an apu that runs on batt. they get low and the truck starts up. You are now paying them to run your truck with the fuel you bought. Yes you pay them to Idel!! Out of route miles? You got it, you pay them .65 a gal out of route.... You will fill where they tell you to fill up and if you go over even one gal you just paid FULL PRICE baby yah! How ever you dont get a fuel surcharge for that tank. 

Maint acct.- I do beleave in a maintenance acct. very importent if you are in a bind, need cash, breakdown, repairs, b service so on. You pay Hirschback .08 a mile to that acct. that you can never get back, you can not touch for any reason.... You made it but you are just suppose to write it off at the end of the year as a loss. these are new truck supose to be under worranty, how ever you will pay $150.00 out of your pocket first then it kicks in.

Trucks- They say oh you will have a choice on what kind of truck you want... WRONG... You get what ever piece of junk just got pulled out of the shop.. Lease ops there is no "this truck has damage or is Really nastey in side had a cat or dog from the past driver" still the same price as a driver that got a truck that is show room floor clean. Miles on trucks dont matter to them. 0 miles or 500,000 still same price.

If you brake down or need work and are a lease, and or co driver you will take it to where they want you to take it to. Tires on your truck good luck getting them replaced on the road. they told me the tires at the shop are made to wear uneven. Oil changes A and B serv ONLY at speedco. ONLY rotella and only every 40,000 miles. Fuel I hope you like Flying J and pilot thats the only place you can fuel.

You can get your L.L.C but you have to get permission to put your name on the truck. Any thing and every thing you do you have to get permition for some one to do like you are a co driver.  Best of all if you are short on a load, YOU JUST BOUGHT THAT PRODUCT. Seal or not, lock or not you pay.

One last thing before I go, I hope you like inspections from D.O.T you are going to get pulled into every station thats open. Look up there CSA scores on line all public, Really not good!
