On 3/9 I ordered an ACER ASPIRE power cord for model 7741z-4633. HisGadget Inc is the company name that showed up on on my bank statement for my VISA debit card.

The HisGadget website does not look familiar. Went to my AOL e-mail and there is no e-mail confirmation to corroborate my purchase or identify which website I used to place the order.

The picture of the power cord on the website exactly matched the original power cord for my ACER Inspire PC. It used the words "original power cord" in the item description on the website so I placed the order.

HisGadet totally misrepresented their product. What arrived at my house is a Chinese knockoff and looks nothing like the original power cord. Not sure how it will perform long term because I just plugged it in for the first time today 3/14. But that is not the point - I didn't receive the product that I ordered

The RipoffReport submitted by Betsy from Whittier North Carolina is very detailed and is what convinced me to add my experience to the list of Hisgadget Ripoff Reports. Betsy reports that there are multiple websites for this company. Have not found the original website and probably never will.

With only a phone number on my bank statement there is not much to go on.  DEBIT PURCHASE -VISA HISGADGET INC   888-530-9912CA. I paid 22.98 included shipping and tax.  The number provided is only staffed Monday thru Friday so I will have to wait to call. I have no order number and no email so to dispute these Visa charges with my bank would be difficult to do.

I believed what I saw and what I read. This was a true bait and switch. Before making another electronic purchase, I will check out ripoffreport.com first.
