Complaint Review: HMS Movies.com / Smart Savings.com

FRAUD! Please do not buy from these websites! Not Safe!

Bought DVD on 8/4/09 $19.23 now charged 9/3 SmartSave & 9/7 HMSMovie each $19.95 for membership I know nothing about!

Only made a one time purchase and now I have found two charges on my account.  I called HMSMovies 866-511-6538 and was told that because I made a purchase at a discount I agreed to a membership. 

When I told the representative that I never agreed to any membership, Nellie (probably a fake name) informed me that I was sent an email telling me about the trial membership.  The only email I received was to confirm the delivery of my DVD that I purchased.  She also informed me that on the receipt attached to the package the DVD was sent to me there was also a notification of the trial membership offer.  Must be some really fine print or I do not know how to read!!!!!

I was told that they will cancel the memberships I never signed up for in the first place and that I would be refunded one of the charges of $19.95, but will have to dispute the other charge and that an email will be sent to me from the dispute department, I will wait on that......NOT!!!!

I have already notified my bank and canceled my credit card, if you have purchased anything from these websites I strongly suggest you do the same A.S.A.P.
