WHAT A JOKE OF A STORE POLICY !! I RETURNED TO THE STORE IN ELGIN IL, SPOKE TO THE CO MGR MIKE KRANZ WHO WOULD NOT ACCEPT MY RETURN WITHOUT THE LITTLE WHITE RECIEPT. HE SAID I WOULD ONLY GET HALF OF MY MONEY BACK. I EVEN ASKED IF I COULD BRING THE RECIEPT FROM HIS CREDIT CARD MACHINE SHOWING THE PURCHASE. HE SAID NO- I WAS NOT EXPECTING MY MONEY BACK, BUT POSSIBLY A STORE CREDIT AT THE VERY LEAST, NOT BEING INSULTED BY ONLY GIVING ME HALF OF MY MONEY BACK ON A PURCHASE THAT WAS MADE IN THE STORE. THIS CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS POOR. VERY VERY POOR.

ALL I WANT IS MY MONEY BACK - IF HE HAD HANDLED THE SITUATION MORE LIKE A MANAGER I WOULD NOT BE WRITING - COULD HE HAVE CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE? COULD HE HAVE REVIEWED MY CREDIT CARD RECIEPT AND CLEARLY SAW THAT THE ONE ITEM I PURCHASED THAT DAY WAS FOR THE SAME AMOUNT ON THE CREDIT CARD RECIEPT THAT SAYS "HOBBY LOBBY" ON THE TOP ?!?! I WANT MY MONEY BACK, I THINK THAT A MORE CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED PERSON SHOULD BE OPERATING YOUR STORE, AFTER ALL THOSE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT CORPORATE PUTS THEIR TRUST INTO TO OPERATE A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS- I AM A MANAGER MYSELF , AND FIRST AND FORMOST IS CUSTOMER SERVICE BECUASE WITHOUT THEM YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS.

PLEASE CALL ME ON THE NUMBER LISTED ABOVE TO GET THIS CLEARED UP- I REALLY HOPE THAT CORPORTATE IS MORE WILLING TO DISPLAY THEIR TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE- OH AND BY THE WAY, I DIDN'T EVEN GET A LITTLE WHITE RECIEPT. THE ONLY ONE I GOT WAS FROM MY CREDIT CARD - MAYBE A QUICK STAPLE OF THE TWO TOGETHER COULD HAVE CLEARED THIS UP ? JUST A THOUGHT....

That co-manager was wrong, without the white recpiet he should have given you instore credit, I just hope from my other rebuttal you understand a little better as to why it was at half off and not the full price.

I am sorry for the way you were treated at the Hooby Lobby Store in IL. The return policy is stated on the back of the reciept though. Usually if you don't have your orginally receipt, if the item has been on sale with in the last 4 weeks you get the sale price, because the store doesn't know if you paid full price or not and the reason the credit slip doesn't work is they don't know if it's from that purchase or a different one. Also, without the originally reciept if the returned amount was over $10 you will get instore credit, under you will recieve cash back.

Once again I am truly sorry for the way you were treated when you tried to return someting, I hope you don't hold it against the company. But some tips for you next time you chose to return something (if there is a next time): Returns must be done within 60 days, ALWAYS hold on to the orginal reciept for easier returning (as you found out), you must wait 10 days if you wrote a check otherwise if it's over $10 you'll get in store credit (just need to make sure the check clears, no other reason) if you wait the 10 days you'll get cash back, instructional books are not returnable, if it's a seasonal item like christmas, no receipt you get the current price for example, you bought something at $19.99 full price if you return it after christmas without a receipt, if christmas is at 66% off, you'll get $6.80 instead of $19.99.
