Complaint Review: HobbySoup

HobbySoup Sold me a product on Ebay, I paid for it, then bought several accessories for that product, then they cancelled the transaction. Lincoln, Nebraska

I was looking at 2 purchases on Ebay.  One was with HobbySoup.  I decided to purchase with HobbySoup so I used the Buy It Now feature on Ebay.  I then purchased the product and HobbySoup asked if I'd like to upgrade the shipping to receive it faster.  I was in a hurry to receive it so I decided to pay for the fast shipping.  I received email confirmations that I was the winning bidder and received notice that I paid for the product.

Shortly after purchasing the product, I spent over $100 in accessories for the product purchased and also upgraded the shipping on all my accessories that would go with the product.  All accessories were purchased through different companies and 2 days later I've received them.

The following day I receive a notice that the Seller, HobbySoup, cancelled our transaction.  I then saw that their reason was that the pricing was incorrect and that there computers made an error.  In talking with computer programs, I was told that those kind of mistakes are not made by computers because of the way the figures were.  Plus, it was not like it was a huge discount.  On auctions, you expect a discount and this product was discounted 15-20% or about $40.

They refunded the money I paid for the original product but now I am stuck with all these accessories for that product that was sold to me and now taken back by HobbySoup.  I told them that they can't do that and to email me to work out details.  After 5-7 email attempts, they choose to ignore me and not respond to me.  I just want to get this worked out.  I told them that they at least need to reimburse me back for the accessories that I purchased for the product and I will gladly ship all of them to HobbySoup, as I have no use for it without the product. 

To this date, they refuse to contact me to resolve this and even though this is a small amount of money, I want others to be cautious when ordering stuff from them.
