This is to make people aware of Hogan Transports shady way of dealing with good drivers leaving their company to pursue better opportunities.  Let me start with the facts. I had been a driver with Hogan for over a year and a half. I recently decided I wanted to become an owner-operator. So, I informed my dispatcher(William Guizinger) that I was going to be leaving the company. And I also told him I need to get my truck out to Columbus,OH to drop off my truck. Then I asked when he could get me out there? So, at the time I was already in Ohio. So, what does he do? Sends me back to Pennsylvania to continue working.  So, I asked again. When are you getting me out there? He decided to have me sit at Penn Terminal in Eddystone,PA all day long before trying to contact me. At this point. I told him I quit! I parked my truck at Penn Terminal. Which is where Hogan has a Dedicated account with ICL Container Group. I then turned the keys to my truck in to another Hogan driver. The driver called William. He told the driver to place the keys back in the truck and they would take care of it!

So, Hogan in turn. Kept almost $500.00 from my pay and said I abandoned the truck and had to pay to have the truck returned to Columbus,OH.  But, what they really did was give the truck to a driver being trained to drive for them and let him drive the truck. And I have Witnesses! So, how can they say I abandoned the truck? If someone can give me info on how to get them to pay my money back or suggestions....

Leaving it at a company that Hogan hauls for is abandoning it,unless they agreed to watch it and keep it safe. Also most companies will charge you if they have to pick up a truck, the only argument you would have if they hired new drivers where you left the truck. You would have been better off either driving it home or back to where they wanted it even if you had to run empty because they are always going to try to keep your money anyway.

They are starting to get a real bad reputation so it's just a matter of time before all this comes back and bites them.

I wish you nothing but the best and God Bless.
