Holiday Inn Club Vacations is unusable system, unless you want to return to your home resort... But that is not how they sell it.  They hype on trading power and the flexibility of using points instead of the old weeks ownership program.  But if you want to go any where other than on of the Holiday Inn Club Vacations it is crazy time consuming effort.  I say that because in 1 year I have called several times to plan trips or hotel stay and it has never worked out.  I have not used it at all and the thought of the frustration keeps me from trying.

One thing I want to share is the promise the salesman made that convinced me to take the leap of faith and purchase ownership, he said:  "You will have 3 months to use the program see if you like it and cancel with no issues."  Sounds great, right?  What I did not know is that it would take 3 months to get a membership card and access id in order to try it out.  So 3months and 3days later i spent several hours on the phone: 1. Tried to exchange for a cruise. The cost was more then going directly to the cruise line and they could not verify a cabin. 2. Tried to reserve a hotel in Seattle it was going to require using all my points 3 nights.  3. Tried trading with RCI for multiple destinations without success.

There maybe owners that are happy but I am not one of them.

Suckered into Holiday Inn Club Vacations free trip scam - June 18, 2014

I got suckered into this Holiday Inn Club Vacations offer too BUT I was careful to try to confirm a pretty obvious lie on the recorded confirmation of my purchase - if it was in face recorded and if that even makes a difference. The lie was that the hotel I was interested in, Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Cocoa Beach, has room service. Have been to a Holiday In Express recently and finding there was no restaurant or room service, I was skeptical BUT the sales guy assured me that he had been to the hotel himself recently ...with his son as a reward for achievingn the honour role in school (ya right!)...and they definitely ordered and received room service. I confirmed this again during the recorded finalization of the purchase.

The sales guy, Tom Fazio, said that the company would confirm the purchase by email shortly...once this supervisors had time to review the recording of the sale. I have not yet received any confirmation and it is now June 21, my birthday :(

What I'm trying to find out is what business name is used to bill my credit card. I have checked my credit card transactions online and it doesn't appear to have been billed yet. I am hoping that I can block payment in advance if I have the correct name. I am on hold with the credit card company right now but there is a long wait time due to some emergency in one of their offices...or so says the recording - ugh!

If anyone can tell me whether my credit card will be billed under "Holiday Inn Club Vacations", "Holiday Inn", or some other name it would be much appreciated. I would like to put a stop-payment on this before they get a chance to bill me.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me with this :)
