Subject: You know what really gets my goat?
You know what really gets my goat? Being told a flat out lie by your staff at store #214 Delano that they can not match the price of the Shell Station next door on diesel. Yet they'll accept competitors coupons.
That's bull pucky and it really gets my goat. I paid 3.959gal at your store when I could have supported the locally owned and operated business that what selling the same product, that has faster pumps to boot for 3.919gal.
That's $0.84 total for this sale that will now keep me from patronizing your stores by purchasing fuel, refreshments and food. I own a lawn and landscaping business. We've spent in recent years $12-15 thousand dollars average per year on fuel.
I vote with my dollar and I hope this ballot will be heard loud and clear. I don't appreciate bulls**t and lies. I have been a regular customer to Store #214 for 4 years now, that's come to an abrupt stop starting right now.
Mr. Veum's Reply:
Dear Mr. G----------,
I sincerely apologize for the very rude response from our employee at our store in Delano. We have two issues with the store. Apparently they failed to price the pump to match the diesel price at Shell and for the store to not give you the price to match Shell. We have addressed both with the management team of the store and hope you may give us another chance to provide the service you deserve on every visit to nay Holiday.
Sincerely,
Roger Veum
Mgr of Customer Service

In my book that's not good enough, there was no offer to reconcile the cost differences and now with further customer services issues Mr. Veum has lacked any timeliness in his reply.

I am confused as to why you feel any business has the obligation to price match. Holiday can price higher is they want and the consumer can make a decision.
That is what a free market is. Next time, go to the cheaper one
