I work for Hollywood Video, thinking they had a great buisness and treating their customers and emploeeys with respect, that all went down the drain. I started working for hollywood video in july of 2003 at 35679 S. Gratiot in Clinton Twp, MI. I worked with an amazing store director Artisha Dupree, after six months they decided to give her another store in the urban area at 2690 E. Jefferson and chene in january 2004, when the store manager Dawn Boyd abondoned her store to work in florida at another hollywood video.

When artisha she arrived at the jefferson store, the store was basically at is worse. Paperwork down to the rentals were out place, and it taken her 3 to 4 months to straightened out her mess. I eventually transfered to her store in october 2004 with alot hassel from the Disitrict manager JR Rayes which no longer works for the company for some strange reason. The end of december there was a rumor that Dawn was coming back and she wanted her store and she was going to fire the whole staff, when artisha got ahold to the information she called the Regional Manager John Masso to confrim if was in fact tru, he told her "no, that Dawn was back with company and they would find another store for her to work at." Dawn quit working at hollywood video in florida to work where John Masso use to be a manager or whatever (sounds kinda foul)uhn!

Well, Friday January 6,2004 they called artisha in to say "Her revenue was down, labor was high, which in fact I know was a lie because we cut alot of hours and very under buget, so they suspended her and told her to bring in her keys and turned around called Dawn to come in and gave dawn her keys! Am very outrage!!!! I mean it was shady and I know we are next! I Hope someone buys them out, Or they go out of buisness.

Um... someone did buy them out. Movie Gallery owns Hollywood, they officially have since about last summer I believe.
