Hollywoodauditions.com - Jesse Kline - HiTech Productions another Options Emodel wannable watch out Woodland Hills California
I recently received an email from Hollywoodauditions.com stating that they were interested in managing me. Being curious, I decided to call. I want to note that I am an experienced actress/model and freelance casting associate, so I know wha to look for. I spoke with Jesse Kline, the senior manager who gave me the basic breakdown. He said that they are a management company and that they would build a website for you, send your information to "hundreds" of producers, casting directors, and the such. Sound good huh? Then he tells me that it will cost $389 for three years plus monthly maintance fees. Now, I have heard the nightmares before of aspiring actors who heard that same from TCT, Emodel, etc.
So, I decided to probe a little bit further. Since he stated that he will act as my manager, I asked him if he receives commission. He replied 10%. So, they want $389 plus monthly fee, plus 10% of whatever you make (if they should find you work). I finally asked him what the $389 is for? and why it is so expensive. Kline said that the fee is for the website, cd-rom, and delivery expenses, and personal management. I then asked, since I have my own cd-rom and website, if they could just use mine, foregoing the expensive fee. Well, after that statement, HE HUNG UP ON ME!
Aspiring talent: You should not have to pay in order to receive auditions. If you want a website, there are plenty out there that are free, or just make your own. If you want auditions go to an REPUTABLE agency in your area or theatre. And don't give away your money.

I apologize for hanging up on you... not like TCT or EMODELS. So how was she ripped off?

We are not like TCT or EMODELS. They charge thousands of dollars simply for a website. We have hundreds of clients we use as references that like our company and the sevices we provide. We go out of our way to help our clients. This person did not become a client. So how was she ripped off?
We are not a talent agency or management company. We are strictly advertising our clients. Our CD Rom has great responses, most of our clients are going to auditions. If an actor was going to mail out a few hundred pictures, the fees are already greater than our entire 3 year set up. You have no right to write this if you have not even used our services.
Jill, I apologize if I hung up on you, I was simply busy and you sounded like you were not interested. It won't happen again.
Sincerely,
Brittany

I cannot believe what I just read in your complaint! I just recieved an email from Hollywood Auditions today, and I am an apiring actress so naturally when I read someone was interested I got excited. I then proceeded to call, and spoke to Jesse Kline. He started out professional asking about myself, and telling me all about the program, and then came the BS.
After he took all my information and lead me into believing I was about to recieve a client number, he informed me that in order to make a client number for me, that I had to give him a credit card or check card number. I am some what experienced in acting and modeling, but I know enough about it to know that you should NEVER have to pay for an audition.
After I had waisted nearly 25 minutes talking to this man, thinking he was really interested in managing me NOT FOR MY MONEY, I hung up on him, because there was no way I was giving out my card information and I was done talking to him, end of story. To me there was no point in even telling him I wasnt interested. He then proceeded to call me back 12 times on his phone line, and then 5 times from a private number, and left me a number of messages telling me how "unprofessional" I was for hanging up on him, and telling him not to waste anymore of his time.
When he was the one who had wasted my time and who proceeded to call me almost 20 times after I was clearly not interested in his little scam! Nice try Jesse, some people out there arent as stupid as you think! I glad he couldnt fool either of us! And what a hypocrit! He hung up on you and then called me unprofessional for hanging up on me! Lately I have been hounded by scams that seem to be the real thing! I am just waiting for my break! GEEZE!:)
