Holub Realty Sylvia Holub Stole money from security deposit Houston Texas
Daughter recently moved from condo managed by Holub Realty (Sylvia Holub). I was the co-signed on the lease. We did everything by the lease, and respectfully returned the property back in the same condition as when moved into. The only difference was a small amount of trim that was damaged. I expected to pay for that.
I worked extremely hard to clean the condo, and since I have my own carpet steamer, I also worked very hard to steam clean the carpet. We got identical paint from the maintenance association to touch up any paint on the walls that may have appeared dirty or smudged. We left it in pristine condition.
I had to ask several times for the deposit back. She said she sent it a week prior to being due. We did not receive it. She has not been able to provide proof that it was sent. When we did receive it, she had shorted the $1,000 deposit by $625.00. She charged for cleaning, painting, carpet cleaning, and of course the trim.
I called to complain about the cleaning and painting charges. She refused to budge and lied about it. She tried to say that there were finger paint type smudges on the walls. This is an absolute bold face lie. She refused to talk any further. She just STOLE my money!!!!!
I have never seen such a bold and unconsionable act of theivery in all of my life by a company that claims to be professional. PROFESSIONAL THEIF is more like it!!
I am writing a demand letter today, and will take her to court if she refuses to do right. I do not expect the amount back from the trim $150.00. However, I expect the $475.00 back that she stole for cleaning fees, carpet cleaning, and painting.
If anyone if Houston considers her as a property manager, or to purchase property, or rent property from her - I would strongly recommend against it. She is the most dishonest realtor I have come accross. The is blatant about it, and has not morals or values. Buyer beware!!!

The property was walked at move out and the infomation above is simply inaccuarte. A clean property is one in which we can put the home back on the market immediatly without the need to send a maid and/or a painter. this property had damage to several baseboard areas from a pet or a dog scratching at the base of the doors (there was no pet agreement on file for this condo) so this pet is/was unauthorized. the kitchen area was left unclean with the oven base full of food debris and the microwave plate unclean the fridge was not wiped out at all.
The bookshelf areas when you walked ot them and wiped them dust coated your hands...We sent a maid because frankly because it was necessary and had to be done to re-lease the home. There were scribbles on the wall in pencil that a child seem to do all over the walls several looked like words and we were forced to repaint those walls. The tenant is upset that the depsoit was not returned in full but we manage 100's of houses and we return all deposits when it is appropriate if a tenant gives it back dirty we have to clean it. Period. If damage occurs beyond normal wear and tear I am sorry we have to deduct for that matter.
