Complaint Review: Holy Shih-tzu

Our contracts, health records, and health guarantees are always in writing, and accompany every sale so there are no misusderstandings. Our beautiful facilty rivals your local petsmart. We pride ourselves in being as accurate as possible with every prospect we work with. Deception does not help to build your business.

The comments left by this Canadian buyer are misleading, innacurate, and facts are not fully disclosed. Allow me to address each claim individually.

SIZE

While we make every effort to estimate the size of our puppies at full maturity, including using online size/weight calculators, no one can guarantee the size of an animal when it reaches full maturity. As far as the boy being described as "fat", that has more to do with diet & excercise than breeding

HEREDITARY HERNIA

There are two common hernias, an inguinal hernia, and the umbilical cord hernia. The hernia referred to here is a small umbilical cord hernia, which is fairly common in the ShihTzu breed. This type of hernia is not life threatening, and can be rectified with a simple surgery. Our health guarantee covers many hereditary conditions, hoever, it does not cover this type of minor hernia.

SMALL GIRLS

Right from the beginning of working with this client, they insisted on getting small girls (not teacups, but on the smaller side), so we recommended some of our breedings that traditionally produced puppies of a smaller size than the traditional ShihTzus. All we did was to provide the client what he was looking for. Since we have had very few issues with our small females breeding and producing nice litters, we agreed to sell him what he wanted. In fact, we have kept back puppies from the same lines for our own breeding program, so this claim is of no affect.

OUR EFFORT TO RECTIFY/SATISFY CLIENT

Our Health Guarantee provides a replacement puppy once the animal in question has been returned to us. With a health issue, we require a coipy of a vet report cooberating the client's claim. Even though there WAS NO HEALTH RELATED ISSUE, WE OFFERED TO REPLACE ANY OR ALL OF THE ANIMALS IN QUESTION. This client refused to send any of the animals back for replacement, but instead wanted us to refund the purchase price on every animal, then they might (or might not) send the animals in question back to Texas. Really?

When we declined their unreasonable request, they became extremely beligerant, theatening to "take us down", and began sending us vile texts and emails. They called our cell phone multiple times leaving profane messages, and even called during one of our pool parties, and we put his call on speaker phone for all to hear.

ETHICS

Let it be known that this client and his partner were living in an appartment/condo/townhouse that had a NO PET POLICY, and they would have to sneak the animals outside so they could do their business.

After we declined their unreasonable refund request, they purchased a web domain mimicking our name and posted slanderous comments, statements, and long winded rants. Not only was this act unethical, it was illegal because we currently hold the TRADEMARK on the name HolyShihTzu.

We sent the last animal to Canada with the client owing us the final payment, which they intentionally withheld.

The bottom line is this person is breeding all four aniamls. This is a case of a new breeder trying to scam a well established breeder for the money, while they get to keep the puppy(s), SO IN THIS CASE, SELLER BEWARE!
