Received a call from Jason Hill at Home Advisor on or about April 5, 2016. Told him I wasnt interested.

Persistently he called back not les than 5 times, each time trying to get me to spend, invest as Jason puts it, $297.00 for the sole purpose of me subscribing to Home Advisor Pro lead generation service. Jason went on telling me how great HA is and how once I filled out their job description qualification questionaire matrix I will have more qualified leads coming in than I know what to do with, Jasons words  "loads of QUALIFIED leads" , yeah right, such BS, IN fact once I paid my $297 subscription fee, next I was told they would allow me $100 credit so that my first several leads all would be free. I had serious doubts about HA service since our work is highly specialized,

We perform chemical free organic poison ivy removal and bamboo removal, this IS all that we do for the last 45 years. I told Jason at HA we are not gardeners, we don't cut grass, no trimming of bushes, no raking leaves! We are HORTICULURAL EXPERTS SPECIALISTS iN VEGETATION CONTROL AND REMOVAL OF HARD TO ERADICATE INVASIVE AND POISONOUS PLANTS, hence we ONLY perform poison ivy/oak and bamboo removal.  Despite Jason and his cohorts professing to us they now know this about our work service that we provide, the few leads we did receive from HA were all BOGUS. ALL leads supplied to us being furnished us by HA were peeps looking for spring clean ups, lawn fertilization, bush trimming, never were what we do, nor signed ourselves up for. NOw I had to have my secretary waste her precious time if only to call these leads HA sent us to learn this leads are not valid. Next we had to call HA and get someone live on the phone at HA headquarters if only to tell them their leads beig sent to us are not valid and need to be credited back to us so that we unecesarily are not charge $25 per lead generation fee.

HA resells same identical leads to other similarly situatuted contractors to boot!

In addition my secretary spent inordinant amounts of her precious work time over the phone with HA if only to obtain a credit being issued back to ourselves each and every time we received a non valid lead from HA which was all leads furnished, never were they valid! We had  to  callHA back needlesssly 6 times., wasted not less than 1.5 o rmore of my secretaries time. This now became a burden, being such a waste of time.  Once we finaly obtained our bank statemet 4/14 for the original subscription fee charge, we discovered HA charged us a lot more then the original $297 we first were quoted over thephone for cost of subscription. Now I had to call HOME ADVISOR AGAIN to  asked why the discrepcny?  I was  being told by HA accounting the exrta additional fees was added for NYS sales tax, yet this is an internet biz company located In Colorado and has no physical offices located within NYS. why tax? When I challenged HA to provide us with proof of authority for themselves to be collecting NYS sales tax from Colorado, they fell silent. In succession over next 6 days I sent not less than 6 emails to Jason Hill at HA in follow up each time demanding they provide and furnsih us proof of their NYS Sales TAX certificate of authority, HA either failed or refused to ever honor my serial email requests.

Next I called to speak with customer service to demand full refund since obviously their service does not work nor are leads they supplied us working for us. We canceled our service in writing and demanded a refund in full for all money spent with them. Upon speaking with Kerri (?) at HA I was told NO REFUNDS!. NEXT I demanded to speak to a manger and got Lillian, I asked Lillian to provide me with all the names of the owners of HA, only she refused to provide me with this information. I told her very unhappy, I said " IF I DO NOT GET MY MONEY REFUNDED IN FULL ,I AM REPORTING THEM TO THE COLORADO STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL"S  OFFICE AND BBB. Next she told me the money will be refund back to my cc originally used, will take 14 days ...more BS, why so long a wait to refund CC, normally  takes 3 minutes if that. NOw we wait and see if actually we get our money refund back. STAY AWAY FROM HA ********, THEY ARE REALLY BAD NEWS, if ever there is a class action suit to be instigatd against HOME ADVISOR, count me in! What scumbags!
