We contacted Home Depot to install 4 split AC units in our home and paid them nearly $16000 in July 2015. In August HD scheduled Delta Mechanical to do the work. The initial 2 day install took 5 days and was still not complete. Two of the 4 units worked okay. Two blew hot air. And the cabling was strewn across the exposed roof. After contacting HD and Delta almost daily for 4 weeks, we still did not have 4 working units. They sent multiple men to fix it over a 2 week period and finally a mitsubishi rep inspected the work and told them the had made wiring and connection errors. So after 6 weeks we finally had working a.c. but they refused to fix the exposed cabling. One week later I discovered Delta had punctured my roof during the install. I had rain pouring down the wall and across the ceiling. Though Delta contracted a roofer patch the hole, they did not repair the interior damage done. Though HD had been contacted about the issue, nothing was done nor were we compensated. In November 2015 I contacted HD by phone and email multiple times, the project was not completed as contracted and the final electrical inspection was never passed. HD guarantees that all installs will meet local building codes but ours does not. In December 2015 I called and emailed HD and they have failed to return my calls or emails. We financed the installation through Home Depot and were billed for the installation in September 2015. We are paying them every month per the contract but they and their sub Delta Mechanical have neglected to act in good faith to complete the a.c. installation.
