I purchased a Cub Cadet 54 in zero turn lawnmower from Home Depot thinking that this would be a good home use lawnmower and with the 3 year warranty, well how could I go wrong. What a mistake.

After roughly 90 days of normal use on a yard that I have cut for over 22 years this lawn mower fell apart. The center pulley underneath the deck broke off, snapped the bolts, damaged the blades, destroyed the belt, etc.

I returned the lawnmower to Home Depot and they had it sent off. After a couple of days I had a phone call stating I had to pay 477.00 to have my mower repaired. The warranty would not pay for anything since they determined that this damage was due to operator abuse. What a joke.

After a lenghty discussion with the Home Depot manager at the store of purchase I did agree to pay a lesser amount for the labor involved. After reviewing the consumer complaints on the internet I realized the mistake I had made. Cub Cadet lawnmowers are Junk, Junk, Junk and they do not honor their warranties. Home Depot was not helpful at all, even to a loyal customer that rarely visits Lowes. This did not seem to matter to Home Depot.

So, please research and investigate your purchase before you buy.
