Home Depot, General Electric,hotpointand Last But Not Least Rheem bad hot water heaters do not buy hot water heaters from home depot Montgomery Alabama
i bought a hotpoint hot water heater from home depot for 380.00 two years ago and now find out from them that home depot will not replace have to go to general electric.
contacted general electric to find out that a safty device inside hot water heater has been tripped and i have to buy a new hot water heater now that averages about 200.00 a year.
the water heater that was replaced the first time was a kenmore made in 1979 and as for me i have to pay out another 400.00 to get a new hot water heater and you can bet i will get something i know i can get parts for

IF THIS IS INDEED ONLY 2 YEARS OLD THEN IT IS IN WARRANTY. THE LEAST WARRANTY IS 6 YEARS. READ YOUR MANUAL. THERE IS AN 800 NUMBER ON THE TANK ITSELF. YOU HAVE TO CALL GE. RHEEM IN ALABAMA MAKES THEM FOR GE. RHEEM MAKES VERY GOOD TANKS BUT THINGS HAPPEN.
AS I SAID IT IS AT LEAST A 6 YEAR WARRANTY ON THE TANK. THE INSTALL IS ONLY GUARANTEED FOR 1 YEAR IF YOU PAID THEM TO INSTALL IT. THE WARRANTY INFOR IS ON THE PLASTIC TAG ON THE TANK ALONG WITH ITS SERIAL NUMBER DATE CODE AND SPECS. IF YOU HAVE THE RECEIPT WHICH MAKES IT NICE OR A CREDIT CARD INFOR. THAT ALSO HELPS. YOU CAN TAKE THE TANK AND THE PROOF BACK TO THE STORE FOR A NEW ONE OR YOUR MONEY BACK.
