Home Depot, Head Cashier, Customer Service Rep. Manager Poor service, Wouldn't help, acted like I was bothering them Elizabethtown Kentucky
I'm a disabled veteran and last year I purchased a YardMachine, lawntractor, 21 hp, 46" deck. This year I went back to the original store to purchase belts for this un-reliable lawntractor/mower, they do not even carry the proper accessaries, i.e., belts, filters and other proper maintaining parts. To make matters worse I went to the customer service counter and asked them to order the belts I needed, the young lady behind the counter made a half assed atempt, by pretending to flip through the pages, I was standing right there. Did she really expect me to believe she read so fast and if she really could she'd me a d**n millionaire or a robot!!! When I asked the head cashier on 3 September 2005 at 1416 hours to help me find the correct belt she told me the only belts they had were at the back of the trimmer isle, BS. I found belts in the front, back, and between the isles, all over at least 5 isles, hidden behind other parts, mixed up with other parts, and way to high up, you'd need a step ladder to get to. Exactlly why I mentioned I was disabled in this note and to folks at the Home Depot here in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. I've been to this store on other occasions and it is always the same attitude "NON-HELPFULL"!

Needed some handles for a wheelborrow. Went into HD. The first employee was a complete jerk. Some young kid. First time I've had bad service from HD. Figured I wasn't going to get any intelligent service from him, so I said thank you and walked away. Found another employee who went out of his way and went above and beyond the call of service to help me and apologized for the behavior of the first one. Lawntractors as a rule suck, doesn't matter what brand. There's no excuse for bad behavior from HD. But, they are short staffed and customers look at merchandise and pitch it back wherever it suits them. I go into many stores and see customers drop items they don't want anywhere in the store and some employee has to round them up and return them to their rightfull spot and assist customers, all the while management going, sell more, sell more. You might try ordering on the internet and having it delivered to the house, save some gas money and you driving into E-town.
