On Black Friday 11/26/11 I visited Home Depot in search of flooring products.  I was pleasantly suprised to see several pallets of laminate flooring advertised at $17.78 per case and buy one get one free!

The sales associate Isaac graciously loaded up 36 cartons upon my request and delivered them to the register where I awaited him to complete my transaction.

The cashier proceeded to ring the flooring at $17.78 per case.  I presented her with the tri-sided sign from the display that read: 7-5/8" Covington Oak Originally $35.56....$17.78 A Case....88 Cent SQ FT....SKU 217-483....the second side of the sign read 8mm Laminate @ 7mm Price!....and the third side read....Buy One, Get One FREE!

The cashier asked another cashier...."How do I ring up the free one's?"  In which the response was this price includes the free ones.  Clearly that is not what the sign stated so I asked to speak to a manager who after several minutes of waiting approached me and stated the flooring is originally $35.xx per case and the $17.78 a case is "like" getting one free.  I showed her the sign that clearly stated the sale price is $17.78 a case AND buy one get one free.  The manager refused to honor the sign.

I made a call (while still in the store) to the corporate office.  The agent placed me on hold while calling the store manager to see if she could resolve the issue.  She informed me the store manager refused to honor the sign and told me she could file a complaint on my behalf which she did.

I proceeded to purchase the flooring since it was a "Special Buy" and only available until sold out and proceeded to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and my credit card company.  A representative from Home Depot called and left a message stating she would investigate the situation and give me a call back.  She then called the next day and left another message.   I returned her call and left my phone number for her to call me back.  I have yet to receive a response.

This is nothing more than a bait and switch tactic and Home Depot should honor their signage!  I took photos of the signage and I will take this to court if Home Depot is unwilling to refund me for the "FREE" flooring!
