they sent a maniac to do the flooring installatiion,This guy made me think he was dangerous, as he was going phsyco in my home. then they overbilled me and did nothing but argue with me from the manager to the salesmen. To top it off he did a terrible job that did not last.

Substandard Installers?

Tim,

I am very sorry that you feel Home Depot hires "substandard installers", however if there is a problem w/ an install Home Depot will fix it if it is a result of an installer mistake. How many independant contractors do you know that would come back to a job site to repair a job they have done? Good luck even getting in contact with them. And if they do fix it they either charge you more or damage something further. Further more most damage on floors is due to the misuse of the product after it is installed, Hence the reason for my questioning about how exactly the floor did not "last".

venus, your'e right the home depot doesn't hire maniac installers, just ones that either have little experience or are so bad at what they do that no one else would hire them. but what do you expect when you pay a little more than half of what real flooring stores pay.it has also been my experience that the sales staff at the flooring department of home depot has very little if any experience in the area of floorcovering and more often than not give wrong advice and wrong instruction.rick said they did a terrible job that did not last the key word there is last.

MORE INFO. PLEASE

Dear Sir,

The description of your Home Depot install sounds very broad, there seems to be information missing. For example, how did the installer act pshyco in your home, what happened to your flooring after the install to make you feel it was not installed properly, and how did they overbill you? W/O more information it is hard to understand exactly what happened in this situation. The Home Depot does not approve of pshyco installers.
