Complaint Review: HOME EQ SERVICING

Having read so many other rip off reports on HomeEq Servicing, I feel foolish to have ever felt singled out by their complete ineptitude! In fact, having read what they have done to others, I can't help but feeling that they are quite good at what they do...ripping off American homeowners!

When I refinanced in January 2007, my mortgage was bought and sold 3 times before I ever made a single payment. When New Century Mortgage went under, HomeEq notified me that they would be servicing my loan. I had set up an escrow account with New Century (including paying $1500 for the beginning balance) but when the loan was sold to Home Eq, somehow that information wasn't transferred...At least that's what Home Eq has claimed.

After literally hundreds of calls and faxes, and countless hours of my time spent on the phone with every stinking department at Home Eq, they are trying to force me into "forced escrow" for both my taxes and homeowners insurance. This is after sending them documentation, additional payments and several requests for an escrow account. Every time I call I have to begin my story all over again; I get transferred, put on hold and eventually disconnected...Absolutely no one at Home Eq is willing to look at my situation.

I have paid additional amounts that they applied to principal despite my request that the money be put into escrow. My homeowners insurance is now due and they have refused to pay it. Also, my property taxes were sent to them in November 2007 and they refused to pay those as well. Do you think they would let me know? Not a word - without hounding them for information I would never have found out...well, not until they had my home on the auction blocks like so many unfortunate others that I read about!!

Isn't it time for persons in positions of power and for agencies charged with protecting the American consumer to investigate the crooked methods employed by Home Eq? What do we have to do to get thier attention? Home Eq is getting away with one of the most evil of business practices - they are forcing hardworking Americans right out of their homes!

Furthermore, Home Eq isn't taking peoples' homes because they are refusing to pay thier payments, Home Eq is utilizing outrageous methods like unbelievable rate hikes, failure to set up escrow accounts, forced insurance and smoke and mirrors customer "service."

Instead of realizing the American dream, people like you and me are being forced to live the American Nightmare because companies like Home Eq are allowed to stay in business!

Is there anybody out there that can (or will) do some thing?
