I called a fraudulent ad for a fake apartment on craigslist in Bronx. I talked to this scammer John who assured me that I was guaranteed the place if I registered with Home Line Equity (homelineequity.com) (think about how many people they tell that to!). I registered with them and sure enough the apartment did not exist. They have no customer support phone number..I called their sales line again only to speak with people that hardly spoke english. I wanted to find out their address to report them to the attorney general and either got told they had no address (internet based company) or that they were located right there in Bronx; of course when I asked for the exact address they hung up on me. I called my bank to file fraud charges and I hope anyone else who reads this does the same!

I also called the same number for an apartment on Craiglist in the Bronx. The also told me the same exact thing, to register with the homelineequity.com.  But I did some reviews before I did, because it was to good to be true, a 2 bed-room apartment for $790! I came across this website with the same exact situation and realized that if something is to good to be true, maybe it is.
