I purchased my equipment 1 year ago. My son like most young adults today love computers and all the technology that goes with it. He set our system up. This consisted of  2 cameras. One that's never worked. We sent it back,  Home security in turn sent the same camera back to us "stating Nothing is wrong with it " so we never used it.

after 30 days your stuck with what ever you bough NO RETURNS. Thats only one part of the problem.  The system is so complicated to hook up my son waited on the phone for one to two hrs on hold for help. Once he waited one hr, a tech came on to help, shortly there after stated he need to take a lunch break. My son waited an additional one hr for help again. This went on for a good week. Every time he ran into a problem he had to call back.  Once he waited on hold for two hrs and finally gave up. He learned later they had closed leaving him and who knows how many others on hold.  Today one year later 2/25/13 our security system has quit working.  Fixing it is out of the question.   When I researched before buying this unit the negative reviews didn't show up online like they do today.. All my home security equipment will go in the trash.

Its useless.  The cost of the same equipment with whom we purchased  is half the cost and comes pre programed. Home security does not, you the installer does that. Home security will claim excellent customer service, NOT true and they will claim they have non contracted installers if you need some help. NOT true. The new system I purchased has excellent reviews with yelp, nor does it exist on rip http://off.com home security does.
