I called home service formerly national grid of staten island today when it is 14 degrees outside.
Customer service put it down at 9am as an emergency and said they will be here today late afternoon.
Called back and hour later and was concerned because of the problem with no heat and water running that they could come sooner.
A new customer rep tells me i'm down for the next day 8 - 12 am. They have NO other openings. I told them I had an afternoon and he said no.
If my pipes burst or furnace blows he said its not their responsibility - So now we have 3 more days of minus 3 degrees with a broken furnace and no emergency repairs. They are too busy to come out since they have so many emergency calls.
When it was keyspan - you called - they came - that day -emergency or not.
