NOTE: I want to respond to ALL the statements made by "Andrew" > I would like to standup for Mr Smith as to I worked on Keith job in the beginning.. Keith was satisfied and happy with the work Mr. Smith had done until Mrs Sargent contacted him and advised Mr Keith all kinds of false information about Mr Smith.

>> NOTE: Above update comments by "Andrew” are NOT TRUE. Keith was NOT happy nor satisfied with Mr Smith’s work. Keith had filed his RipOff Report on 8/13/16. I read of his report on 8/15/16. I had never met Keith at that point. I met Keith and his wife shortly thereafter when one of Eddie Smith’s workers introduced me. I was currently researching problems on the internet about Eddie Smith, Home Solutions, of Moulton because I had contracted Eddie for work myself.

>> NOTE: It is true that Keith became crazed by his inability to have Eddie fix things and Eddie not answering his phone. > Sued Mr Smith only after Mrs Sargent contacted Mr Keith several times and conspired slander against Mr Smith and his family..

>> NOTE: It is true that Keith sued Eddie. Keith won that suit plus damages in October 2016. NOTE: SLANDER means talking untruths. I NEVER slandered Eddie Smith. I only spoke the truth. > Mr Smith paid me for the full job even though he was not paid in full

>> NOTE: Eddie did a terrible job and lost a civil lawsuit regarding this case. NOTE: No one knows if the employee was paid or not. BUT, my question is…. Why shouldn’t he pay his employees? My only knowledge of paying things to workers, is that Eddie did NOT consistently pay his workers. > and Mr Keith was not only satisfied but happy with job

>> NOTE: Keith was neither satisfied nor happy with the job. He successfully sued Eddie in civil court on this case. > until Mrs Sargent attempted to destroy Mr Smith after she lost her lawsuit against Mr Smith.

>> NOTE: I instituted my civil lawsuit against Eddie before Keith instituted his lawsuit in Morgan County. Keith’s lawsuit was settled before mine in Lawrence County. My case in November 2016 is still in appeal because of Eddie’s constant delaying tactics.

I was ill the day of the trial and should have allowed Eddie to continue, but I had had witnesses there twice already and thought I could do it alone. If he was confident of winning, he would not have wanted to delay things over 3 years. Today is 11-19-19 and hopefully will finally have my day in court in January 2020 (over 3 years later). > This whole report is a scam and a lie..

But, the comments by Andrew are not truthful. > please people Mr Smith is a amazing and talented worker who at many times works alone and as any one knows when you do a job yourself it takes time. Mr Smith is respectable and very professional and always does a great job..

>> NOTE: I respectfully disagree with that statement. He is listed as having an "F” rating on the BBB due to shoddy work, being unlicensed, writing illegal contracts over $10k USD / contract or aggregate, and not responding to customer’s complaints. This "F” on the BBB has been since 9/2016 and unfortunately, the BBB drops all complaints and reviews after 3 years.

So unless people who have been scammed and harmed by Mr. Smith continue to file customer reviews and complaints, the rating goes back to "unrated”. The Alabama Home Builders Licensure Board wants to hear from you if you have had a "contracts over $10k USD / contract or aggregate”... please call Darlene at 256.898.4124 or email her at darlene.burt@hblb.alabama.gov and she will help you file a claim for "unlicensed contractor in Alabama”.
